Create Crew

There is strong evidence that arts participation in a pro social setting during childhood has significant benefits for social-emotional development, emotional regulation, and a child's understanding of the world around them. We are piloting the "Create Crew" after care art program to empower children drawn to the arts. Our after school art enrichment childcare program will provide your child with a "curated" creative experience and is specially designed for elementary aged kids who love art. This after care program will allow a maximum of 10 children age 5-10 to attend up to 5 days per week. Children enrolled will be able to take art classes, enjoy field trips to the park and library, as well as special guest programs. The Create Crew will get to enjoy cooking and nature-based programs through partnerships with WizKids and Wayfinders. Snack will be provided. Kids will have quiet time or time for homework as well. The program will be run by a collection of certified teachers with masters degrees in the areas of education, visual arts education, art therapy, and special education. We are taking applications for the 22–23 school year. Please check our calendar to make sure it works with your schedule. We want to select children that fit the criteria for our program goals, so that everyone in the program is able to enjoy the multitude of creative opportunities and experiences we plan to offer them. Payment for aftercare is as follows; upon acceptance, one full month of tuition is required, and monthly installments can be automatically deducted from your credit card on the 1st of each month. Payments by check must be received by the first of the month or after care may need to be paused until payment is made. Parents must list the address 9 Main Street, Irvington, on the form for bus. Parents are responsible for children's transportation to our program, and must contact us with any drop off times/details.

Art Xtra Care - Add an hour onto your art class

Dropping your child for an art class, and need more time? We have you covered with Art Xtra Care, which adds an hour of child care coverage on to your child's existing schedule at Art XO. Xtra care continuing care takes place between the hours of 3:00pm and 6:00pm Monday to Thursday. You can select this option as an ongoing care plan (monthly), use a punchcard (sporadic use), or select a "single" this for xtra time as needed. Based on enrollment and how the schedule looks, we will make appropriate plans to keep the after care/xtra care create crew occupied. Please make sure to email us to confirm when you wish to use this hour of child care. If After Care/Xtra care is full, the system will not allow you to register, first come, first served. Thank you!
