Master Maker 7-12 3:30PM Thursday

Join this true "maker" class! This class is for kids who want to learn how to do very cool things, and are ready to listen. Student driven, this class will be open to your interests. We may use vinyl on silk screen to create t-shirts that we ombre dipped. We may make resin shapes and add a 3D elements to a gel candle in a mason jar. We may be print making on wooden blocks to test our ability to fill a bulk art order. The directions this class can take are quite unlimited, with a broad scope, allowing these 10 weeks to serve as a stepping stone to become a master crafter. This class will not have a strict lesson plan. The plan is to present the class with all of the project type options, and combinations, so that we can learn what the group is excited about creating. From there, we will make sure to touch on each skill the kids want to explore, and make some VERY cool creations.

This is a 10 week program. Don't forget to dress for MESS!!

This is an intermediate level art class. Prerequisite classes should include one of more paint, craft or clay classes.

Skill building: Perspective, learning the principles of effective design, drawing, color, value, edges, brushwork, line work. Planning and design process. Applying skill in one discipline to other areas. Example, using graphic design for a custom t-shirt.
