This intermediate art class will focus on landscape and floral drawing and painting with some guided instruction, and time for students to work independently as well. We will use direct observation and spend time outdoors when possible. Some class art projects will be pre-selected by the instructor, and paint type (watercolor, acrylic, oil) will be planned by the instructor. However, the class may decide some projects based on group decision. You will be taught fundamental skills such as instrument choice, special techniques, improve layering and ability to effectively "under paint", and much more.
Skill building: Understanding perspective, use of light and shadow, problem solving,use of the imagination, artistic ability and sense of balance.
