In clay and mosaics, we can create just about anything ceramic! This class is perfect for kids who are comfortable with clay, good at following instructions, and looking to build their ceramics skill set. We will use a pottery wheel and will have 2-3 mosaic projects as well.The vibe of this class is quiet and joyful.
Dress for mess!
Skill building: Confidence, Uses his/her senses of touch, sight and smell, Develops coordination, Perfects the dissociation of the hand, thumb and fingers from the forearm (necessary for writing), Builds strength in arms, wrists and fingers, Acquires a sense of his/her body by creating representative models (clay figures).
